To equip participants with the knowledge and hands-on experience required to safely and effectively operate CNC Router Machines for commercial or artistic purposes.

Course Modules

Module 1: Introduction to CNC Routing

  • What is a CNC Router?
  • Types of CNC Routers: Wood, Stone, Metal
  • Applications in industries: Furniture, Signage, Stone Carving, Mould Making, etc.

Module 2: Machine Components & Working

  • CNC Machine Anatomy: Spindle, Gantry, Table, Controller
  • Working Principle
  • Axis Explanation: X, Y, Z, and A (if rotary)
  • Tools: End Mills, V-Bits, Ball Nose, etc.
  • Tool Holding System: Collets, Tool Holders

Module 3: Safety & Maintenance

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Machine Start-up and Shut-down Procedure
  • Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Maintenance Checklist
  • Emergency Procedures

Module 5: Controller Operation

  • Types of CNC Controllers: DSP, NC Studio, Mach3, etc.
  • File Loading Process: (.nc / .tap / .gcode)
  • Manual and Automatic Operation
  • Setting Origin, Z-Zero, Homing

Module 7: Hands-On Projects

  • Wood Nameplate Cutting & Engraving
  • MDF 3D Carving
  • Stone Nameplate or Decorative Panel
  • Acrylic LED Signage Cutting

Certification

Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion upon passing a practical and theory assessment.

  • CNC Router Machine (Single/Double Head, with or without rotary)
  • Materials: MDF, Plywood, Stone Slabs, Acrylic Sheets
  • Cutting Tools of Various Types
